Whether you’re a seasoned camper or a first-timer, these recipes will satisfy your wilderness appetite and make your trip even more enjoyable.

S’mores Dip

Who doesn’t love s’mores? This twist on the classic campfire treat is easy to make and perfect for sharing with friends. Simply melt chocolate chips and mini marshmallows in a cast iron skillet over the campfire or on a portable grill, and dip graham crackers in the gooey goodness.

Kabobs

basket if you don’t have skewers.

Kabobs are a perfect meal for camping because they are easy to prepare and cook over the campfire. You just need protein (beef/chicken/etc.) and vegetables (peppers and onions are my favorite)-heck, throw in some pineapple! Whether you’re camping with family or friends, kabobs are sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Grill Tip: soak your wooden skewers in water so they don’t burn; or use a wire grill

One-Pot Pasta

Cooking pasta on a camping trip may seem daunting, but with this one-pot recipe, it’s a breeze. Simply add pasta, broth, vegetables, and seasonings to a pot, and cook over the campfire or on a portable stove until the pasta is cooked and the broth is absorbed. Top with parmesan cheese for a delicious and easy meal.

Banana Boats

Banana boats are a fun and easy dessert that kids (and adults!) will love. Slice a banana down the middle, and fill it with chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and graham cracker crumbs. Wrap in aluminum foil, and place on the campfire or grill until the chocolate is melted and gooey.
